Dallas Stars: Behind the Screens
The Challenge. The Dallas Stars wanted to pull fans behind the curtain and reveal the people, planning, and technology responsible for one of the NHL's most engaging game-day experiences. The documentary needed to capture the energy of a live event while showcasing the countless moving pieces that transform a hockey game into an unforgettable night of entertainment.
The Approach. We embedded with the Stars' entertainment team throughout game day, combining behind-the-scenes access with cinematic coverage to document the operation as it unfolded in real time. Thoughtful pre-production, strategic interviews, and observational filmmaking highlighted everything from production meetings and control room coordination to lighting cues, music, and fan interactions—revealing how every department works together to create an experience that extends far beyond the action on the ice.
The Result. A behind-the-scenes documentary that gave viewers an inside look at the creativity and collaboration behind the Dallas Stars' award-winning fan experience. The film celebrated the team responsible for every unforgettable moment in the arena while reinforcing the organization's philosophy that fans aren't just watching the show—they're part of it.
